Most people don't know a thing about tooth ache other than the fact that it is painful, this is not a good thing, people should be more aware of what it takes to have healthy teeth and gums, unless they want to get tooth ache of course.

One of the most common things asked by those who have tooth ache is how to relieve the pain without going to a dentist, well, first of all, this is not a godo question, you should always go to the dentist when you have a dental problem as they are the only ones who can professionally examine it, so the first thing you should do is make an appointment with your dentist.

Now, you CAN in fact do certain things at your home for pain relief for tooth ache and I'm going to share one of these methods with you in this article, there are many home remedies you can use and some will be more effective in some cases than others, one that works for one person may not work for the next and vice versa but don't worry because there are many methods to use and you're more than likely to get the desired affect from one of them.

One of the most simple methods to use is just numbing the pain with ice, this can be done in two ways and the main problem with this method is the fact that it is usually only possible when at home, I mean, I'm pretty sure you don't want to be carrying a pack of ice with you all day.

The first way to do this is to place some ice cubes into a piece of cloth or tissue and hold it against the side of the mouth where the painful tooth is, this should help to ease and numb the pain, this is very easy to do and is quite quick to take affect, so give it a try.

The second way to do this is to just put a piece of ice on your mouth and hold it over the tooth that is painful, don't put pressure on the tooth just let it touch it, another simple way to numb the pain.

You should not do either of these at all if the pain increases, this is possible, sometimes, the ice can actually make it even worse so if you notice this then immediately stop doing it.

This is just one of the methods for pain relief for tooth ache at home and I hope you found it helpful, remember to see your dentist as soon as you can for any dental problems you may have.
